Last September 7, US federal judge Gonzalo Curiel ruled in favor of Apple, allowing the phone giant’s 11 foreign lawsuits against Qualcomm to proceed.

The companies have been locked in an escalating legal battle during the past few months. Apple, whose devices use Qualcomm modem chips, alleged that the semicon company is charging an unfair price for their technology.

Qualcomm sought an “anti-suit” injunction to halt 11 separate lawsuits temporarily, but Judge Curiel said that the court won’t that conclude Apple’s exercise of its rights under foreign laws to be vexatious.
